Born from a passion for silver and a commitment to quality, AsserGerrard has been supplying beautiful British made giftware since 2006.
The company AsserGerrard was formed in 2006 by Mr Richard Hoare and the name was inspired by “AG” the chemical symbol for silver. It quickly grew into a reputable e-commerce website, specialising in high quality giftware, primarily hallmarked 925 sterling silver as well as silver plate and pewter products.
In 2019, upon Mr. Hoare’s retirement, AsserGerrard became part of Chimo Holdings, based in Sheffield. All company equipment and assets were transferred to Chimo Holdings. The website continued to operate on a limited basis until 2022, when a vibrant new site was launched to celebrate the unique occasion of Her late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee (70 years on the throne)
To commemorate this unprecedented occasion in the long history of British royalty, an event unlikely to be witnessed again in our lifetimes, we created a range of exceptionally high-quality giftware using premium materials and craftsmanship. Instead of the standard 925 sterling silver, we chose the superior 958 Britannia silver. This exclusive Britannia silver collection not only features the historic Britannia image as part of the hallmark but also bears the special Platinum Jubilee hallmark, authorized by The Queen’s personal Assay Master. Limited pieces of this collection are still available on this site, but “when they are gone, they cannot be repeated”
Some of our products have been individually ‘planished’ (hand-hammered), a highly specialised skill that imparts a unique texture to each piece. Every facet is meticulously applied by hand with a flat faced hammer, catching the light to create stunning reflections and giving each item its own distinctive sparkle.
To celebrate this momentous occasion, we have expanded our collection to include not only our exquisite 958 Britannia silver range but also a variety of special pieces crafted from 925 sterling silver, silver-plate, and pewter. Each item is stamped or engraved with the specially authorised Platinum Jubilee logo, making them perfect commemorative treasures.
Alongside the Platinum Jubilee range, which should only have been available until December 31st 2022, but was extended due to death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. AsserGerrard also offered a similar range to celebrate the Coronation of HM King Charles III on May 6th 2023. A limited number of these Collectors products are still available on the site but once sold they cannot be repeated

Each piece is meticulously manufactured and handcrafted in our Sheffield factory, ensuring exceptional quality. Please rest assured, nothing on this AsserGerrard website is mass-produced.
